If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent countless hours in the weight room doing flat and incline barbell bench presses. And if you’re anything like me, you never saw ANY chest development, but instead got bigger arms and injured shoulders. This isn’t to say that barbell bench presses are bad, they aren’t. But they may not be the ideal way for a beginner, or even intermediate lifter, to learn to activate and develop their pecs.
That’s why I’ve created the 99-cent Chest Workout
With just five simple moves, this program is designed using the principles of functional anatomy. The function of the pecs are flexion in the sagittal plane (raising your arm in front of you), and horizontal adduction in the transverse plane (moving your arm across your body from the sides to the center). This workout has exercises that replicate these moves, allowing you to activate and feel your pecs working! Once you learn to do that, you’ll get a lot more out of the barbell presses that have historically targeted your arms and shoulder joints.
